Dr Peter D Eccles, BVSc, MRCVS, LVI
Peter qualified in 1981 from Liverpool University and has worked in general practice since then. He has special interests in dermatology and cardiology. Peter has been treating sick and injured animals since he was fourteen years old, at this age he built an aviary at the back of his dad's garage, in which he nursed many animals back to health. He joined the practice (at the time known as Watson & Burrows) in 1991. He decided in 1998 that he and the practice should specialise in treating only small animals such as dogs and cats, as he felt that the practice could provide a better standard of care by concentrating on looking after pets. This has worked well.

Dr Della Johnston, BVMS MSc MRCV

Della graduated from the University of Glasgow Veterinary School in 2009 and also has a Masters in Wildlife Conservation and Management. She has worked in small animal practice since graduation and has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery. Having had cats all her life, she is currently feline-less but is hoping to find a new buddy soon.

Alison Spencer RVN

Alison is a fully qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN). She was at school at Oakbank School in Keighley. She trained at The College of Animal Welfare in Leeds. She loves all animals but is very much a cat person. She has previously worked with cats for four years & has done a lot of hand rearing in that time. Her last pet was a ferret called Blackberry. 

Alison offers our clients pet weight checks, advice on nutrition & healthy dieting, including weighing your pet regularly if needed. She also does flea, worm & parasite checks & dental checks.
